I’m a professor, and I bought this device because I wanted to stream lectures. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed because (apparently) I cannot use the device on campus. I suspect it is impossible to use it on any college campus.
If your network uses enterprise level WPA2 (which requires both a username and a password to get on the network), then you will be very disappointed when you try to set up this device. We even tried creating an ad-hoc network.

So it appears that this is useful only in areas where you are required to enter a password (no username). That also means that you cannot stream from, say, a coffeeshop that has free wi-fi. There is no hope. The logitech support crew (including supervisors) confirmed that the device cannot be used (as advertised above) by a professor with a (typical) enterprise level WPA2 network. It also cannot be used where there is free wi-fi (an awful lot of places these days). Basically, the rule is this: If you need to provide a username AND a password or you need nothing at all, then you’re not going to be able to live stream with this device.
